A bit late but ready to go.

So, I finished All Quiet on the Western Front and, it was a great book. It was a war book with a lot of action that was balenced out by emotion and feeling about the negitivity of war. The story is about a young German soldier in WWI named Paul Baumer. Right out of high-school he and his friends enlisted into the army with youthful enthusiasm that was quickly broken by the cruelty and violence of the war. As the war goes on Paul loses his comrades and begins to really realize that the only reason that he is killing these people is because of the uniform that they wear.
It is really one of the best war novels about a realistic person in a surreal enviornment. You really get sucked into the book and experiance the feeling and emotion of the caracters and the harshness of war.

I am planning to read a next book, Three Men and A Boat a humorous account of a fishing trip with three men and a dog.
