Yep, that's the book I'm reading for my independent reading assignment. It's a collection of auto-biographic essays about the author's, David Sedaris, younger years. While each of the essays are about different subjects and have different meanings they all share a tone that is comparable to a director's commentary.
The author, David Sedaris is 51 years of age and has had four best-sellers, including this one. He is a humorist. He was born in New York but rasied in North Carolina. He is Homosexual, and he talks about that in Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim.
I didn't exactly choose the book to read, my uncle did. Anyway's I got into it and I really like the book. I like it's tone and the essays always have a light feel to them.
Since the book is 272 pages long and I have to read about 100 pages a week, and I already have read about 100 pages, I should be done with it soon.
